Norwescon

Post by volcanogirl73 » Thu Sep 10, 2009 6:13 pm

Does anyone live in the Northwest (Washington/Oregon area) that attends Norwescon? I have been attending this for the last 2 years. I am part of one of the parties that is held there every year. I just wanted to know if anyone lives in the area.

It is held on Easter weekend each year. If there is a chance that I can meet anyone from here, I would love it! I know our team is looking into taking a trip to Oregon for one of the cons there.

The other two cons we are thinking about attending is OryCon 31http://www.orycon.org (November 27-29, 2009) in Portland, OR and Rystycon http://www.rustycon.com/ (January 15-17) at the Seattle Marriot in Washington.

For those who don't know about Norwescon, you can find the information here :http://www.norwescon.org/ and the information about the party I am part of here: http://deckerbar.com/main/ We are Deckerbar and the party is called Shockwave.

Just wondering. I think it would be cool to meet some of you who I have known for such a long time and have never spoken to other than here.

:)

Im in Cali but might be convinced to road trip it if the con seems like it would be good enough. Never heard of these two though.

I don't know much about the other two as I have not been there either. I only have been to Norwescon for the last 2 years. It's not too bad. They have a huge masquerade that they do every year, an artist room and vendor room of course. The 501 is there every year taking photos for charity. Lots of booths and a few parties Friday & Saturday night if you stay over.

Again, this is the only con I have been to so I have no idea how any other ones are. I have seen photos from the one in California and it is not that big (I don't think any of them are lol)

Last year I took a lot of photos of costumes. Those are in my Facebook photo album.
